As part of the IntraHealth-led global project CapacityPlus’s innovative workforce development strategy, the project has created a Global Advisory Board on Strengthening Medical, Nursing, and Public Health Schools in Developing Countries. The board will help to address management issues in health professional schools.
Earlier this week, the North Carolina Medical Journal published an article, “Linking Challenges, Sharing Solutions: The Global Crisis in Human Resources for Health,” which suggests that strategies for remedying the global health workforce crisis could also be useful in North Carolina. Barbara Stilwell, director of technical leadership, and David Nelson, assistant director of strategic communications co-authored the article.
