Senegal Family Planning Advocacy Work Featured in Agence de Presse Sénégalaise

Dr. Annette Seck Ndiaye of the IntraHealth-led Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (URHI, or ISSU in French) in Senegal advocates for the private sector to play a larger role in supporting health in general, and family planning in particular. She also calls on the national health development plan of Senegal to identify practical solutions for incorporating the private sector. The ISSU project, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is designed to increase access to modern family planning methods among Senegal’s urban poor. Dr. Ndiaye represents Marie Stopes, one of IntraHealth’s partners on the project.
