IntraHealth announces a new eLearning course—Foundations of Gender Equality in the Health Workforce—produced by CapacityPlus’s HRH Global Resource Center. Since the course launched on May 15, more than 130 participants from 40 countries have enrolled.
June 5, 2012, Chapel Hill, NC—Musimbi Kanyoro, MA, PhD, DMin, has joined the IntraHealth International Board of Directors. Kanyoro is president and CEO of the Global Fund for Women, a publicly supported grantmaking foundation that invests in women-led organizations to advance human rights. A native of Kenya, Kanyoro has become an influential advocate for women and girls worldwide over the last 30 years.

A social media training conducted by the IntraHealth-led project, Strengthening Civil Society for Family Planning in West Africa, was featured in the French language news website Fraternite. The article Les Osc aguerries pour mieux communiquer sur la planification familiale shared how social media such as Twitter and Facebook can be used to share family planning messages.
