More Information: | Health worker absenteeism impacts treatment of malaria, and delays in treatment can lead to deadly consequences. Human resources management and development strengthening interventions using digital tools like iHRIS, IntraHealth's open source human resources information system, can enable data-driven decision-making to plan and budget for health workers and dynamically redistribute them. IntraHealth staff will present a new study quantifying the potential impact of reduced absenteeism on malaria cases and deaths averted among children in Kenya.

More Information: | This virtual session aims to equip digital health implementers and others with practical examples on measuring the benefits and costs of their solutions drawing from a special collection of papers organized by Digital Square in Oxford Open Digital Health. Panel participants will share lessons learned from their analyses which span understanding health worker absenteeism in malaria; the impact of short message service (SMS) messaging on antiretroviral therapy (ART) retention; costs associated with developing, deploying, and operating a national digitalized cancer registry; and the effects of digital health on business and medicine practices.
