2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), during which 179 governments adopted a Programme of Action to empower women and girls. This year, the governments of Kenya and Denmark as well as UNFPA will convene to bring together heads of state, academics, civil society, financial institutions, and more to drum up political will and secure financial commitments to realize the vision of the Programme of Action: "zero unmet need for family planning information and services, zero preventable maternal deaths, and zero sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices against women and girls."

IntraHealth will be making and submitting a commitment to these ideals at the summit.
