IntraHealth's Pape Gaye will present as part of Duke Global Health Institute's Think Global lecture series.
According to the Lancet, poor-quality health systems result in more than 9 million deaths annually in low- and middle-income countries, amounting to economic welfare losses of $6 trillion. This Think Global talk will focus on addressing one foundation from Lancet’s health systems framework: the workforce. Gaye will make the case that solving the global health workforce crisis is not only the right thing to do, but it is also a solid economic investment. Gaye will share global evidence and provide a case example from IntraHealth International’s work in Kenya.
