The Quality Assurance Partnership (PAQ) approach, developed and implemented by IntraHealth in Senegal, encourages local communities to identify and find local solutions to issues such as the quality of service delivery, infrastructure, and accessibility at health facilities. In collaboration with local service providers, government health authorities, facility based health committees and IntraHealth mentors, populations are able to improve the quality of service delivery in health facilities by strengthening local involvement in community mobilization, encouraging local populations to manage their own health services, and by improving the quality of care at the service delivery point level. The Health Services Improvement project (HSI) was featured in an article by Agence de Presse Sénégalaise.
