Ambassador Dr. Eric Goosby, of the Office of the US Global AIDS coordinator, along with the US ambassador to Tanzania, Alfonso E Lenhardt, and US ambassadors from six other countries, recently visited sites of IntraHealth International’s Provider-Initiated Testing and Counseling project. 

The visitors toured the Meru district hospital and Ngarenaro health center near Arusha. Staff at both facilities spoke in glowing terms of the support they have received from IntraHealth. 

Additionally, on May 20, Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, toured the Mt. Meru regional hospital in Tanzania to view other activities funded by the US President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, including those led by IntraHealth.
