Dr. Sonia Brito-Anderson is a public health specialist with over 25 years of experience in health systems and reproductive health care. She was IntraHealth's country director in the Dominican Republic and director of the Improving HIV Service Outcomes through Strengthening Human Resources Management Project. She is a recognized leader in national development of health systems and a coauthor of numerous abstracts, journal articles, and publications about research to improve health systems. She is also experienced in activities and training related to provider behavior change strategies and institutionalization of evidence-based practices. Sonia likes photography and travel for getting to know new cultures.
Brito-Anderson holds a MD and has completed advanced training in gynecology and obstetrics, public health, human rights, and gender in health politics.
