To End HIV Stigma, We Must Fight a Long History
Health workers can play a key role in ending discrimination against people who live with HIV.
Yutaka Endo was a 2017 UNC-IntraHealth Summer Fellow at IntraHealth International.
After graduating from Niigata University, School of Medicine, Endo worked as a physician, a general practitioner, and pediatrician in Japan and four countries in Southeast Asia, mainly at a rural hospital in Myanmar, where he saw outpatients and conducted minor surgeries.
After finishing his fellowship at IntraHealth and graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he began working as an intern at World Health Organization's Country Office in the Philippines.
